Walter Swift
Founder of The Swift Justice Initiative
Walter Swift was wrongfully convicted of a sexual assault in Michigan and sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison. He spent 26 years incarcerated before new evidence exposed flaws in the eyewitness identification and forensic testimony, leading to his exoneration in 2008. After receiving compensation for the heinous miscarriage of justice, he later founded The Swift Justice Initiative to support others impacted by wrongful convictions.

The Swift Justice Initiative is dedicated to hastening justice for the wrongfully convicted and innocent individuals, promoting truth through advocacy, investigation, and community engagement.
